My Attempt At Guessing the TPN Full Score Trio’s Heights
(Initially wanted to write a chapter review but hhhhh got distracted again.. u,u)
Okay, so. I think many of us has tried our hands (minds?) at guessing their noticeable height changes (well, at least in Norman & Ray’s case since Emma’s isn’t really noticeable yet).
According to wikipedia (which means some fans put the info there), Norman’s height should be “at least 170 cm,” Ray’s height should be “around 170 cm,” and Emma’s height should be “around 160 cm.” These information are likely referring to @temporoom previous attempt at guessing their heights before here in this post (which is an awesome analysis that includes some other characters too).
Now, we all know that Posuka-sensei is notorious for being inconsistent with drawing the characters features and this including their heights (this inconsistency is most-likely Posuka’s attempt at highlighting certain character’s image/personality or impactful moments to infuse the right mood within the story, I’m not saying that it’s a bad thing at all).
So, based on what we’ve got so far, I attempted to guess their heights again based on what we have so far (175 chapters to date).
1) Isabella’s height is 5′7 (170 cm)
I revisited the earlier chapters again today and found this little tidbit fun fact at the 1st volume bonus panels:
2) Isabella is implied to be still taller than any of the kids (according to this panel below in ch. 174).
Since she’s already 31 years old and most adults normally don’t have another growth spurt, then none of them should be taller than 170 cm (5′7).
3) Isabella’s and Ray’s height difference is around 1/3 half of head (this referencing to ch. 133 when Ray “met” her in the Seven Walls arc)
According the (not so) reliable google articles, a human’s head length is supposed to be around 20-22 cm, then half a head should be around 7 cm (I’m taking the median number). Therefore, we can guess that Ray’s height is:
170 cm - 7 cm = 163 cm (around 5′4)
4) Norman around the same height as Ray. But some panels had him drawn a little bit taller than Ray (which I assume is part of Posuka’s deliberate inconsistency that I mentioned before). You can see a reference of the trio being together in close proximity in this panel below that taken from their reunion in the Paradise Hideout arc (I forgot which chapter, sorry).
Now, assuming he’s taller than Ray, their height difference still isn’t too noticeable, so I’m going to take a wild guess that Norman’s height is 165 cm (around 5′5).
5) Now it’s left for us to figure out Emma’s height. According to these two panels down below, Emma’s height is around Isabella’s neck. We’ve decided before to take 20-22 cm as supposedly average human head length. Therefore Emma’s height should be at least around 20 cm shorter than Isabella.
Another canon fact we can reference to is the above panel, which has Emma drawn being about 2/3 half of head shorter than both Norman & Ray. So I suppose Emma should be at least 14 cm shorter than both of them.
Now let’s calculate it all first.
170 cm - 20 cm = 150 cm (referencing Isabella’s height) 163 cm - 14 cm = 149 cm (referencing Ray’s height) 165 cm - 10 cm = 151 cm (referencing Norman’s height)
Referring to those calculations, I’d say my guess is that Emma’s height is 150 cm (4′11).
I don’t know if they including her ahoge (that antena hair lol) into account when deciding her height, but I’m going to take a wild guess again and say that with her antena hair, Emma’s height is probably 155 cm (5′1).
Well, those all are just my guess, but we wouldn’t know for sure until the creators decided to reveal it officially. Please correct me if I got something wrong or tell me if you got another opinion about this. Enjoy~ ^^

Why you love this chapter? I’m asking
*Unpacking a whole essay* I'm glad you asked.
Taken from the rambles I put down immediately after reading the chapter. This is a lil messy but hey I hope you accept it anyway!
Ok first of all. I was so happy they showed us a glimpse of the mama trainees bonding and feeling empathy and compassion towards the other?? It was really one of my favourite things in the whole chapter. The thought of them just competing without any human connection, ending up killing all of their human feelings was as likely as dreadful, but I always thought (hoped?) that women thrown together in a hostil environment are more likely to support each other and I'm unspeakably glad they confirmed it.
Such concept hits really near home for me and it really. Really moves me as I think about it.
Tpn is really the best y'all I'm so indescribably glad it's here for us.
Ok but how they said loud and clear that competition is NOT the way to survival?? I'm actually crying????
This has such a deep personal meaning to me and honestly it's... I don't know I'm just really emotional
I loved this. I loved how they showed us that this was a lie too: that competition isn't the way to freedom, happiness or peace, but just another lie the mamas are fed up with. I loved how Isabella made it clear there isn't a hierarchy with women that are wealthy and women that are less wealthy, but they're actually all equally crushed by tyrannical oppressors.
I'be always found these Krone page so strong and impactful. This one opens chapter 21, right before Emma and Norman entered her room to confront her. It's like in that moment we readers got an insight of what was going on inside Krone's head. What she was remembering. What moved her actions. Why is Krone doing what she's doing? Is she really as cruel and ruthless as she appears to be? No, she's just been teached one thing since she was 12 years old: that if she wants to stay alive, she has to fight, not against the demons, but against other humans; she hasn't to prove her own worth, but she has to demonstrate she's better then the others; she has to climb over her comrades' bodies; she has to compete.
But did all of this help save Krone? What had she done wrong? Just like grandma Sarah, she adapted to the system; and yet, that didn't guaranteed for her to live.
“Compete. That is how we survive.” It's actually not. That's not the way. Nobody can survive. Then, there's only one escape route left to fight for: team up and take a stand to actually change things.
Sis, that's- that's really a wholesome message, and I love it.
FOR REAL I CAN'T STOP REREADING THIS???
“Now's not the time to die. If I can become grandma, I'll do it.
But it won't be for you guys.”
This is just awesome. Isabella is so damn strong guys.
You know, I had noticed that detail that they kept calling her "mom"... Even within their inert thoughts... But this got me so emotional. It's impactful, you know? The fact that even after all she's done to them, she's still "mama" to them. It really throws me back to this scene from chapter 93:
This is definitely up there as one of the most strong and powerful scenes of the serie for me.
Sis, at this point you wouldn't think there's anyone more suited to raise Emma up than Norman's ghost; still, to the surprise of the reader, actually there is someone else deep inside of Emma, someone who definitely saves her from the abyss she was falling into, and that someone is Isabella. And she's not "Isabella" for Emma, but she's "mama". Because even after all they went through, all the suffering and dread she was accomplice in making them experience, she still loved and supported them. And deep down, unconsciously, the children still hold that love and support in their hearts. This gets me /so/ emotional,,,
Right when you had thought this chapter couldn't get any better, they even added the s a s s
Still, it's so true to Isabella's character. I loved it.
Isabella is still... Isabella
She really didn't change at all, she's the same mama
For God's sake Isabella, you love them don't you??? Why can't you just be a little less cold in their regards??? You're such a lost cause.
And what is this? This smile is so different from any other we've ever seen from her! It has all emotions she never allowed herself to show before, frailness and love and pain and courage and you know what? It's probably the closest thing to an “I'm sorry” we'll ever get from her.
Ok today's reason to cry: Emma somehow finding the courage and strength to forgive Isabella
Emma's sad look when glancing at Isabella in this chapter? Like she's saying: “I know how much you've suffered. I know you care. I know you feel guilty for what you've done. I know you really did love us. I know”.
I didn't think the trio would have forgiven Isabella but I guess Emma is just that powerful. Sis she's grown up so much? She's so mature, to think she could possibly get over her mama's betrayal!
Look, maybe she hasn't forgiven Isabella yet, and maybe she never will. Isabella's done a lot of wrongs to them, and I think none could blame the children for not being able to forgive her. But one thing I do believe is that Emma right now is pitying Isabella. She does recognize the struggle Isabella had to go through too. She understands that her mama suffered from what she was forced to do. She sees her pain, and is sad for it. And honestly that's so much already.
This chapter really was peak Emma / Isabella's parallels, as in: Emma is everything Isabella didn't manage to become, and now she has finally succeeded in making Isabella believe that there is a way out of the system. That dreedom, end kf the cruelty, happiness, it's all possible.
Ok I have more to say and I don't want to give up on the images so part 2 coming via reblog
